And now for something completely different.
If I’ve learned one thing from my unified communications blog, it’s that I never run of things to write about. While that doesn’t mean that everything I come up with is of interest to everyone, I try to keep things fresh and balance my time between deep-in-the-weeds discussions about this or that SIP header and higher level topics that have a broader appeal. At least, I hope that’s the case.
Even though I have yet to reap any actual fortune from this blog, I have been able to squeak out a few seconds of my 15-minutes of communications nerd fame. Avaya picks up my articles for their blog on a very regular basis and it’s not uncommon for me to find something of mine referenced by another blogger or online magazine. In fact, I have been quoted a number of times by people I have never even heard of. Such is the way of the Internet.
All of this is a long lead-up to say that No Jitter approached me last week to write for them. Being that they are the source for quality writing about the communications industry, how could I possibly say “no”? After all, since I am not getting paid for any of this, I might as well do what I can to help spread the good word.
So, without further delay, here is an invitation to check out my first contribution. I enjoyed writing it and hope it helps you better understand one of the most important topics in communications today.
P.S. This doesn’t mean that I will stop writing this blog. It simply means that my already too-busy life has gotten that much more crowded.
